Make the most of your journey

Find out how you can get from A to B with ease

It's no secret that rail travel is one of the most popular forms of travel in Britain, but what can you do to make the most of your journey?

We asked 2,000 people what they liked most about their rail journey; see how many of these you can do on your next trip:

  • Relax
  • Spend quality time with travel companions
  • Watch the changes in landscape
  • Read a film or watch a movie
  • Plan what you're going to do when you get there (you can get 2FOR1 at over 300 attractions when you travel by train)

If you're anything like us, you like to be fully prepared before you embark on your next adventure. We asked our respondents what was most important to them before they travelled somewhere new. Do any of these apply to you?

  • Check you''ve got your wallet or purse (81%)
  • Check you've got your house keys (75%)
  • Check you've got your phone (74%)
  • Check your route (63%)
  • Check the weather forecast (48%)

Whilst we can’t help you check whether you’ve got your wallet, keys or phone... We can  help you get from A to B with ease. At National Rail we can give you the latest information about your route, whether the station you’re travelling to has ATMs, ticket machines, toilets and what type of help is available.

And, to make sure you are able to stay completely in control of your journey, you can sign up to recieve real-time alerts direct to your phone.

Message us on @Railcard on Facebook or @_Railcards on Twitter to let us know how you're making the most of your journey this spring.
