In 2020 it will be 200 years since Florence Nightingale - leader, healthcare pioneer and female icon - was born, becoming The Lady With The Lamp during the Crimean War. Soon after, she began to chip away at the glass ceiling on behalf of all women who were to follow her, becoming in the process the founder of modern nursing.

This year we will be celebrating the life of this amazing woman, highlighting her remarkable legacy via the objects, people and places that influenced this trailblazing icon. You can even see the lamp she carried.

She had an impact on healthcare and science which still resonates today, so if you've ever been a nurse (or been helped by one!) come along and discover more about her.
